What is the Virtual Global Taskforce?

The VGT is an international alliance of dedicated law enforcement agencies and partners, working together to reduce the global threat from, and vulnerability of children to, online sexual abuse and other forms of transnational child sexual offending. The VGT was established in 2003 as a direct response to lessons learned from investigations into online child sexual abuse around the world. The child sexual abuse threat is a global one, which readily crosses national boundaries, particularly online. The VGT seeks to deliver innovative, global strategies in order to safeguard children online. This protection is often only achieved by global, not merely national, methods.

The VGT structure is as follows:

If you know about a child who is in immediate danger or risk,

Call your local emergency number or police.
