The UAE Welcomes the Philippines Joining the Virtual Global Taskforce

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), the current chair of the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT), welcomed the Philippines as a new member of the VGT the Global Alliance against online child abuse. With the accession of the Philippines, the number of members in the VGT climbs to 13 countries and 18 institutions and companies from the public and private sectors, which join to create a distinguished presence all over the world.

Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chair of the VGT, expressed his hope to further promote the work of the Virtual Global Taskforce with the joining of the Philippines, in the quest to put an end to child online sexual abuse worldwide.

Major General Al Nuaimi noted that the VGT will continue to draw on its successes to further activate the role of law enforcement agencies and their concerted efforts.
